Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement process standards and guidelines for assembly operations.

  • Meet production targets and timelines while ensuring adherence to quality standards.

  • Plan and execute production schedules to optimize manpower and material flow.

  • Manage and lead a team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.

  • Increase first-pass yield and ensure minimal rework in final vehicle assembly.

  • Oversee correct part fitment for domestic and export models.

  • Analyze workflow, space utilization, and equipment layout to improve efficiency.

  • Provide insights for production cost optimization and process improvement.

  • Conduct line balancing, troubleshooting, and resource allocation for smooth operations.

  • Review production data, labor, and material costs to forecast future needs.

  • Drive 5S, safety compliance, and continuous improvement activities at the shopfloor.

  • Collaborate with Quality to analyze rejections and implement corrective actions.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and coordinate with departments for action plans.

  • Manage new projects related to layout, infrastructure setup, and process planning.

  • Evaluate and integrate new model designs into existing manufacturing processes.


Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes — casting, molding, painting, and assembly.

  • Hands-on experience in assembly process troubleshooting, CTQ identification, and line balancing.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

  • Conversant with in-process inspections and quality audits.

  • Skilled in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.

  • Knowledge of equipment capability studies and production planning techniques.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a plant environment.


Requirements

  • Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
    OR
    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering with 4+ years of experience.

  • Proven experience in large-scale manufacturing or automotive assembly operations.

  • Ability to verify process correctness and robustness.

  • Excellent team management and resource planning skills.

  • Strong communication, coordination, and leadership abilities.

  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
