1. Purpose and Scope

This document outlines the official usage guidelines for the GOTAC App, developed and owned by Gravton Motors Pvt. Ltd. It applies to all individuals and entities who install, access, or use the app in connection with Gravton vehicles.

The purpose of this policy is to ensure responsible, secure, and intended use of the application, while informing users of their rights, limitations, and obligations.


2. Applicability

This usage policy applies to:

  • Individual owners and users of Gravton electric vehicles.
  • Fleet operators managing Gravton vehicles via the GOTAC App.
  • Authorized service personnel and dealership partners using the app for diagnostics or service.

This policy is binding upon all users who create an account or interact with the GOTAC App.


3. User Responsibilities

By using the GOTAC App, users agree to:

  • Securely retain and use the login credentials provided at the time of purchase.
  • Enable necessary permissions on their mobile device (GPS, data, notifications).
  • Use the app only with the designated Gravton vehicle.
  • Promptly update the app to maintain access to critical features.
  • Unlink or deactivate the account upon resale or transfer of the vehicle.
  • Report unauthorized access or suspicious activity to Gravton Support.

4. Permitted Use

The GOTAC App may be used for:

  • Viewing real-time vehicle telemetry and location.
  • Receiving diagnostic alerts and maintenance notifications.
  • Scheduling service and accessing service history.
  • Monitoring trips, ride efficiency, and energy consumption.
  • Managing fleet vehicles (for authorized B2B users).
  • Receiving software updates via OTA (over-the-air).

Usage is permitted only with Gravton vehicles, in accordance with Gravton’s service and safety guidelines.


5. Prohibited Use

Users are strictly prohibited from:

  • Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or tampering with the app.
  • Using the app with non-Gravton vehicles or unauthorized devices.
  • Granting access to unauthorized individuals.
  • Falsifying vehicle data to exploit warranties or services.
  • Violating laws or infringing upon others’ rights.

Violations may lead to account suspension, service denial, or legal action.


6. Data Handling & Privacy

Data collected via the app (e.g., GPS, diagnostics, trip data) is securely stored in encrypted form on Gravton’s cloud servers and is used for:

  • Enhancing performance and safety.
  • Proactive service and maintenance.
  • Anti-theft tracking and analytics.
  • Legal and warranty compliance.

No personal data is shared with third parties without consent, except as legally required or for service fulfillment. Refer to our Privacy Policy for details.


7. Security & Access

Users are responsible for protecting access to the app, including:

  • Keeping login credentials confidential.
  • Preventing unauthorized logins.
  • Immediately notifying Gravton in case of theft or compromised access.

Fleet operators must manage roles and access for team members. Gravton is not liable for misuse due to negligent access control.


8. Limitation of Liability

Gravton Motors is not liable for:

  • Ignored app alerts or updates.
  • Data errors due to poor connectivity or device faults.
  • Issues from outdated app versions or disabled permissions.
  • Losses from misuse or user negligence.

The app supplements, but does not replace, regular maintenance and responsible riding.


9. Policy Updates

Gravton Motors may revise this policy periodically. Updates will be posted on the official website and may appear in-app.

Continued use of the app indicates acceptance of updated terms.


10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
