Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and budget for equipment maintenance, utilities, and capital improvements.

  • Lead plant start-up, ramp-up, and transition to high-volume manufacturing.

  • Implement new technologies, capital projects, and workforce readiness.

  • Manage maintenance teams to ensure maximum equipment uptime and performance.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.

  • Drive equipment efficiency through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.

  • Develop and implement maintenance standards, checklists, and procedures.

  • Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs and robots.

  • Ensure optimal functioning of plant utilities such as DG sets, compressors, lifts, solar systems, and HVAC.

  • Monitor MTTR, MTBF, and preventive maintenance compliance.

  • Lead TPM implementation (PM, JH, and E&T pillars).

  • Collaborate with global and inter-plant maintenance teams for standardization.

  • Develop and mentor maintenance engineers for future leadership roles.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and ensure maintenance cost control.


Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, and Utility systems.

  • Hands-on expertise with CNC, SPM, and robotic systems.

  • Skilled in troubleshooting Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Allen Bradley PLCs.

  • Familiarity with CMMS tools (MAXIMO / SAP PM Module).

  • Experience in TPM, ISO 14001, OHSAS, and EHS compliance.

  • Knowledge of automation programming, ladder logic, and control systems.

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, electrical standards, and safety codes.

  • Ability to execute low-cost automation projects with in-house resources.


Requirements

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automobile Engineering (9–12 years experience).

  • OR Diploma in Mechatronics with 10–15 years of experience.

  • Prior experience in large manufacturing setups or auto OEMs.

  • Exposure to at least 2–3 new product launches.

  • Strong team leadership, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.

  • Excellent communication and planning skills.

  • Proficiency in control systems, maintenance drawings, and documentation.
