Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural, thermal, modal, dynamic, crash, and durability analyses for various vehicle systems and components.
- Independently manage CAE projects from model setup to result interpretation and design recommendations.
- Collaborate with Design and Product Development teams to optimize components for strength, stiffness, and weight.
- Conduct mesh generation, boundary condition setup, and solver execution using tools such as HyperMesh, ANSYS, Nastran, or Abaqus.
- Correlate simulation results with physical test data and propose design improvements.
- Support design validation and contribute to DFMEA and DVP activities.
- Prepare and present comprehensive analysis reports to cross-functional teams and management.
- Ensure CAE processes and methodologies are current and compliant with internal standards. Required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aerospace Engineering.
- 4–5 years of experience in CAE and FEA-based structural analysis.
- Proficiency in HyperMesh, ANSYS, Nastran, Abaqus, LS-DYNA, or equivalent simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of vehicle subsystems (frame, chassis, body, suspension, brackets, mounts, etc.).
- Knowledge of material behavior, fatigue, and vibration analysis.
- Ability to interpret and validate test data with simulation results.
- Working knowledge of CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, or Creo) for geometry cleanup and integration.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in EV or automotive domain product development.
- Exposure to optimization tools (OptiStruct, ANSYS Workbench, etc.).
- Familiarity with CFD or multi-physics simulations.
- Experience in mentoring junior engineers and coordinating CAE projects.
